Ann-Therese O’Neill was named managing director and head of institutional business development at Barrow Hanley Global Investors.
It is a new position, a spokesman said Tuesday in an email.
Ms. O’Neill, who joined the firm Monday, reports to Chuck Thompson, head of distribution and strategy, Americas, for Barrow Hanley parent Perpetual Ltd.
Based in San Francisco, Ms. O’Neill oversees and leads the business development team and supports Barrow Hanley’s growing list of core investment strategies, a news release said Tuesday.
Ms. O’Neill was previously managing director, head of North America retirement and foundations/endowments client group at Wells Fargo Asset Management, according to the news release.
Jeanette Foster, spokeswoman for Wells Fargo Asset Management, now known as Allspring Global Investments following its sale in February to GTCR and Reverence Capital Partners, declined to comment.
Barrow Hanley has about $50 billion in assets under management.
