Cayla Fan to be responsible for expanding business and broadening product distribution.
Haitong International appointed Cayla Fan as the head of business development for the asset management unit, it said in a press release.
Ranked as a managing director, Fan will be responsible for the Hong Kong, Mainland China and Singapore markets. She will also conceive and implement strategies that are focused on expanding the business and broadening its product distribution channels.
As part of her remit, she intends to enhance collaboration with Haitong’s investment banking and private wealth management businesses.
Fan has 16 years of experience in the financial sector. She was previously employed at Pictet Asset Management in Hong Kong where she oversaw the China intermediaries business. She has also worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Wellington Management, both in Hong Kong.
